Leave Application
Your staff log in and apply for leave themselves, whether it’s annual leave, sick leave or leave without pay. No form to print and nothing to hand around the office.

Managers and supervisors see the request and approve or decline it. Once it’s approved, the days go straight onto the employee’s timesheet, so nobody has to enter them twice.

Annual leave (AL), personal leave (PL) and leave without pay (LWP) are all covered. Your administrator sets up how entitlements work in your organisation.
Can staff see their own leave balance?
Yes. Staff with a login can check their own balance and history, so they know what they have before they apply.
What if two people apply for the same week?
The manager sees both requests as they come in and decides who goes, based on who’s needed. NiuginiHR keeps the record, and the call stays with the manager.
Does approved leave affect timesheets?
Yes. Approved AL, PL and LWP are filled in on the hourly timesheet for those days, the same way public holidays are.
Can we report on leave taken?
Yes. Every employee’s leave history is kept on their record, so you can see what was taken and when it was approved, and spot any patterns.
