FAQ
Questions about Timesheets
Straight answers to the things people ask us most.
Still have a question? Talk to usDo we use daily or fortnightly timesheets?
Whichever suits you. A lot of organisations use daily (hourly) sheets for casual or shift workers and fortnightly sheets for salaried or rostered staff. You pick what fits each team.
Can we import from our biometric machine?
Yes. Admins and managers can import a CSV of daily totals or clock-in and clock-out times into the hourly timesheets for a pay period. Just make sure the employee codes match your staff records.
What happens to public holidays and leave on a timesheet?
Once your public holidays are set up and leave has been approved, NiuginiHR fills those days in for you. No more marking them by hand every fortnight.
Who approves timesheets?
Managers review them. Once a timesheet is finalised it can be locked, so payroll isn’t working from numbers that keep changing.
Can we export timesheets?
Yes. You can export them to keep an offline copy or share a summary with someone outside the system.
